After attending a meeting of the Central Valley Alliance of Atheists and Skeptics, skeptic and atheist Micah told us that he was happy to have such a group “nearby”. Other CVAAS members were surprised to find out that Micah lived in Los Banos – hardly nearby!
“So what would you think about starting your own group? Right there in Los Banos?”
Perhaps it was our adjournment to “Drinking Skeptically“, and the assistance of a little food and some good beer that gave the required push.
But now there is a new group in the San Joaquin Valley:

Yes, it is a small area, but CVAAS has been contacted before by people in the Dos Palos / Los Banos area looking for a local group. Until now, all that was lacking was a group organizer.
